Window sill height:

In general residential buildings, the height of the window sill is required to be no less than 0.9m. When the height of the window sill is lower than 0.8m, protective measures should be taken. In public buildings, the height of the window sill ranges from 1.0 to 1.8m, and the height of the bottom surface of the window sash that opens to the public walkway should not be less than 2.0m.

Window height:

In general residential buildings, the height of the window is 1.5m, plus the height of the window sill is 0.9m, and the window top is 2.4m away from the floor. The height of the window should be determined according to the requirements of lighting, ventilation, space image, etc., but attention should be paid to the problem of excessively high rigidity of the window, and cross beams or "pins" should be added when necessary. In public buildings, the height of the whole piece of glass has exceeded 7.2m, which is no longer the scope of ordinary windows.

Window width:

The width of the window generally starts from 0.6m. According to the regulations in the building standard opening specification, the width modulus of the general building opening is 300mm, that is, the general width is 600mm, 900mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, and so on. It should be noted that when the window opening is too wide, a vertical keel or "pitch" should be added, otherwise the stiffness of the window is prone to problems.



The height of the door:

The height of the door for people to pass is generally not less than 2m, no matter how high it is, it should not exceed 2.4m, otherwise it will feel hollow, and the door leaf production needs to be strengthened. If modeling, ventilation, and lighting are needed, a waist window can be added to the door, the height of which starts from 0.4m, but it should not be too high.

The door for vehicles or equipment to pass through should be determined according to the specific situation, and its height should be 0.3-0.5m higher than that of the vehicle or equipment to prevent the vehicle from hitting the door frame due to bumps or when the equipment needs to be transported by rollers. As for the clearance requirements for various types of vehicles, it is necessary to consult the corresponding regulations.

For large-volume and large-space buildings such as stadiums, exhibition halls, etc., when super-scale doors need to be installed, a regular-size attached door can be added to the door leaf for people to pass through when the door does not need to be opened.

The width of the door:

In general, the household door is 0.9~1m, the door of the room is 0.8~0.9m, the kitchen door is about 0.8m, and the bathroom door is about 0.7~0.8m. Due to the import of modern furniture, the upper limit size is now used. The width of the door of public buildings is generally 1m for a single door and 1.2~1.8m for a double door. The width of the door leaf should be considered when it is wider. The width of the door leaf for double or multiple doors should be 0.6~1.0m. The width of the door opening of the hotel room is generally ≥0.9m, and the width of the bathroom door ≥0.75m.

The width of fire exits for safe evacuation shall be set according to calculations and regulations (related fire protection regulations). The width of the door for maintenance of the pipeline well is generally 0.6m. In addition to its own width, the door for vehicles or equipment to pass only has a gap of 0.3-0.5m on each side.
